Point Exteriors

Commercial Solar Panel Cleaning

Solar Panel Cleaning in Central Pennsylvania

Dust, pollen, bird droppings and grime build up on solar panels and block sunlight from reaching the cells. Point Exteriors cleans rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays on commercial buildings, farms and homes across Central Pennsylvania, using purified water and soft brushes instead of a pressure washer.

Professional Solar Panel Cleaning

We clean panels with purified water and soft brushes, which removes buildup without scratching the glass or leaving mineral spots behind.

Why Solar Panel Cleaning Matters

Dirty panels produce less power. Rain rinses off loose dust but leaves pollen film, bird droppings and grime behind, so panels that are never cleaned slowly lose output.

Solar Arrays We Clean

Commercial Rooftop Arrays

Panels on warehouses, offices and retail roofs, with access planned around the building and its roof.

Ground-Mounted & Farm Arrays

Ground-mounted systems on farms and commercial properties across Central Pennsylvania, from a few rows of panels to large arrays.

Residential Solar Panels

Rooftop panels on homes, cleaned from the right access point for your roof.

Solar Carports & Canopies

Solar carports and canopies over parking areas, scheduled to keep as much of the lot open as possible.

Bird Droppings & Pollen

Bird droppings and spring pollen stick to the glass and shade the cells. We clear the buildup so every panel can produce power.

Maintenance Plans

Recurring cleaning schedules for commercial arrays, set around your site’s dust, pollen and bird activity.

Below are some commonly asked questions we have received over the years regarding solar panel cleaning. If you don’t see the answer to a question you have or need additional information please feel free to give us a call or send us a message.

Most commercial arrays in Central Pennsylvania do well with cleaning once or twice a year. Panels near farms, roads or trees, or with heavy bird activity, may need it more often.

No. We use purified water and soft brushes. High pressure can damage panel seals and frames, and hard tap water leaves mineral spots on the glass.

Rain rinses off loose dust, but it does not remove bird droppings, pollen film or grime that bakes onto the glass, especially on panels with a low tilt.

Yes. Most of our solar work is commercial, but we also clean rooftop panels on homes. Contact us with the number of panels and your roof type.
